How to Check if Someone Else is Using Your Facebook Account?

Facebook has become extremely popular over these couple of years and alot of families and friends depend daily on it to connect with their love ones who may be far away, others use the network for connecting back with friends that they have not seen for years. The fact remains that facebook has really changed the social networking arena in many.different ways.Facebook comes with a bunch of security features built into the website to prevent user accounts from being hacked, but what if  the user does not even know that his account has been compromised or hacked.Let me share a secret with you, never share your facebook username and password with no one, you don`t know where it might end up and how it will affect your online presence maybe or your offline presence. If you suspect that your account has been tampered with or maybe hacked because you are seeing post or comments that you never wrote. This is enough evidence
that your facebook account has been compromised and right away you need to take action to reverse this.

First Course of Action.
Once you are able to log into your facebook account the first thing you should do is change your password.
To reset/change your password on facebook, here is what you do:

1.Reset your password

How can i reset my password and make secure ?

If you're not logged in, you can reset your password by clicking the Forgot your
password? link on the Facebook login page here.

If you're already logged in, you can reset your password by going to your Account Settings page, located in the Account drop-down menu at the top of every Facebook page.

When choosing a new password you should:

   - Use a combination of at least six numbers, letters, and punctuation marks
      (like ! and &)
   - Don’t pick a word from the dictionary
   - Don't pick something you've used as a password on another site

It is highly recommended that you change your password as soon as you notice suspicious activity on your facebook page.

Here are three other preventative measures you can take to secure your facebook  account.

1. Activate Log in Notifications
Facebook has a cool feature that allows a facebook user to monitor their login from a specific computer, here is how it works. When ever an unauthorise user logs into your facebook account from a different computer or a different mobile devices facebook will send you a text message or email to you informing you about what is happening at that instant

 2. Activate Log in Approvals
This by far the most the first best way to secure your account after changing your password, chances of any
body loggin into your acccount is rare.Log approvals when enabled or activated allows for the facebook user to enter a security code that will be sent to his/her phone.Note this happens only if the user is logging in from another computer or mobile device. If someone has been logging into your facebook account this will surely stop them in there tracks.

3.Active Sessions
Active sessions basically shows you the location where you are loggin in fronm or have logged in at a specific time .If you aren`t logging in from a specific location listed well then you can click on end activity. This will shut out whom ever has been logging in from that location with your username and password.I recommend that you change your password immediately.

Remember take what i have shared with you and put into action right away if you think that your account has been hacked or compromised.
